I loved her story because I could relate too some things. And it was really interesting. She is an inspiration. Thank you Jesus.
I didn't like this book at all, she talked way to much about her granny life instead of her own mothers life and hers. She mirrored her mother as did her son mirrored her! For her to say she loved her granny she reduced her to a pill popping , beer drinking crazy woman! Show some damn respect for the woman who gave you a place to stay when your own mom couldn't! To go in such detail about your granny was disrespectful!!! And not needed if it was true, that has nothing to do with what lead you to drugs nor why your mother start doing drugs The blame lies with your mother solely! Drugs is a choice, not because you was a victim of circumstance, you still playing the blame game. The story was all over the place.

Reading this book made me realize that, things can be way worse than they already are. I loved reading this book because it shows us no matter how you were brought up, there is always room for change. The book has her personal experiences in it which made it more personal and easier to relate to. It was deep and I feel like when people read this book they will realize that yes life is hard, but with some dedication and love from the ones close to you and God, you will come to realize that anything is possible.
