The plot is fine and I enjoyed the story line for the most part. The author, however, needs to hone her craft. The mistakes are everywhere, from changing tenses from past to present to future in one paragraph to misusing words i.e., "he's" for "his." Some word choices were awkward as well, and the writing was a little immature in some places. I can understand using one tense for the science and another for the story but having a character acting in the past and present is confusing. Also, you can see the evil stepfather plot a mile away. The reader knows what's coming - it's telegraphed too early and too obviously.I want to see this author grow as a writer. I have read a few other of her works and believe she will be a good writer someday. Get an editor or at least a proofreader to catch the most obvious errors. As a former teacher who has read a lot of papers, I know how hard it is to proofread and edit your own work, but it has to be done.

This is one of the authors earlier works. This author normally rates 5 stars from me but the mistakes in the tense and various other small issues detracted me. The story is still great and I couldn't wait to see the ending.
I enjoyed all your books and I would love to read more about Aidan and Vicki,Blackie and Chris and also about Rhonnie and Karrie in the future -----so please write some more soon!!
